Picks up stake in Daikin Shriram

NEW DELHI, NOV. 19. Daikin Industries Limited, Japan (DIL), today acquired the 20 per cent stake held by Shriram Group in Daikin Shriram Airconditioning Pvt. Ltd. (DSL). Following this acquisition, DSL has become a wholly owned subsidiary of DIL. The company will now be known as Daikin Airconditioning India Pvt. Limited. DIL claimed this acquisition as a significant milestone in its India initiative as it has always considered the country to be a significant destination in its business map.
