Nothing brewing with Telugu Desam, says Raghavulu
By Our Staff Reporter
HYDERABAD,
NOV. 19.
The Communist Party of India (Marxist) State secretary, B.V. Raghuvulu, has dismissed speculations regarding thawing of relations between his party and the TDP.
Reacting to reported comments of the TDP president, N. Chandrababu Naidu, during his meeting with the CPI(M) leader and Lok Sabha Speaker, Somnath Chatterjee, Mr. Raghavulu said Mr. Chatterjee had gone to meet Mr. Naidu in his capacity as Speaker.
"The meeting was a courtesy call and cannot be interpreted politically," he noted.
"Decisions taken by the Central or State Committees are announced publicly," he asserted. He said there had not even been any proposal either from the TDP or the CPI(M) to work together on common issues.
