BANGALORE, NOV. 19. A married woman from Bihar was found murdered in her house at Vignananagar in HAL police station limits on Friday. The police said that the assailants had raped Manju Sahani (23) before strangling her with a "duppatta." Later they hanged her body with a rope from the window grill. The police suspect Manju could have been murdered on Thursday night or early Friday. Manju and her husband, Om Prakash, a carpenter, had come here from Bihar five months ago. They were staying in a rented house on the first floor of a building at Vignananagar. A bar-cum-restaurant is on the ground floor of the building, the police said. Om Prakash who went to work on Thursday and returned home around 9.30 a.m. on Friday saw his wife's body hanging from the window grill, the police said. The police suspect some locals who were aware that Manju was alone at the house could have committed the crime.
