By Our Staff Reporter
HYDERABAD,
NOV. 19.
He gives the appointment letter with one hand and takes away her mobile with the other. A trickster has walked away with the mobile camera phone of an unemployed woman, P. Srilakshi, 28, after convincing her that he will secure a job for her. A resident of old Kabutharkhana, the woman received a call on Thursday. Introducing himself as William, the caller asked her if she was interested in joining a job. He later invited her to Pick n Move hotel at Himayathnagar for further details.
Even as she got down the autorickshaw, the accused came to her, took her inside the hotel, handed over a copy of the appointment letter saying her salary would be Rs. 7,500 per month. However, he did not give the address of the office on the letter.
He assured Ms. Srilakshmi of getting an increment of 11 per cent a year. She received a call on the mobile. The caller asked if William was around. When she handed over the phone to him saying he got a call, William took the instrument and walked out. After waiting for 15 minutes, Ms. Srilakshi realised that she was cheated and lodged a complaint with the Narayanaguda police.
