ALAPPUZHA, NOV. 20 . Kerala and Karnataka with 69 and 66 points each shared the women's and junior girls team titles in the 21st South India powerlifting championship at the Municipal Town hall here on Saturday. In the sub-junior section, Kerala was again forced to share the title with Tamil Nadu. Both the teams had 63 points each.
Women: 44kg: Pushapamma Joseph (Ker) (squat 130 + benchpress 62.5 + deadlift 122.5 = 315); 52 kg: S. Seena (Ker), (150 = 67.5 + 165 = 382.5); 56kg: B.H. Bharati (Kar), (130 + 57.5 + 142.5 = 330); 60kg: A.B. Manju (Ker), (165 + 82.5 + 167.5 = 415).
Girls: Juniors: 44kg: S. Manju (Ker), (125 + 60 + 120 = 305); 48kg: N.B. Jyothi (Kar), (120 + 55 + 140 = 315); 52kg: N.B. Asha (Ker), (75 + 30 + 90 = 195); 56kg: Shyamla Devi (AP), (125 + 52.5 + 137.5 = 315); 60kg: D.K. Keerthi (Kar), (122.5 + 55 + 135 = 312.5); 67.5kg: R. Shobha (Kar), (132.5 + 52.5 + 157.5 = 342.5).
Sub-juniors: 44kg: S. Bharani (TN), (75 + 42.5 + 102.5 = 220); 48kg: Deepthi G. Biluva (Kar), (100 + 35 + 102.5 = 237.5); 52kg: Venkitalakshmi (AP), (95 + 37.5 + 110 = 242.5); 56kg: K. Swathi (AP), (100 + 35 + 122.5 = 257.5); 60kg: N. Eshal (TN), (90 + 37.5 + 100-227.5); 67.5kg: Anu Manohar (Ker), (60 + 35 + 60 = 155).
