NEW DELHI, NOV. 20 .The Delhi State Industrial Development Corporation (DSIDC) today indicated plans for introduction of telemarketing and establishment of call centres to reach out to liquor consumers holding credit cards. Unveiling its ambitious plans to revamp the sales and marketing structure of the whole Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) and Indian Foreign Liquor (IFL) activity here today, the DSIDC Managing Director, Jalaj Shrivastava, said the corporation had entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with a leading consultancy firm to introduce telemarketing, go for web-based sales and create call centres for customers to get feedback on sales. Also on the cards was a "DSIDC Loyalty Club" that would have a special promotional offer for its members. This includes sale of IMFL and IFL to customers holding credit cards. Mr. Shrivastava further said plans were also afoot to use computerisation and bar coding for sales from all IMFL vendors to prevent over-charging, maintain transparency and outsource the computerisation process to enable control over expenditure.
