THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, NOV. 2 1. The Kerala Youth Front(M) has decided to embark on a development agenda by mobilising youths to follow a new political line of thinking. Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, the Youth Front(M) president, Jose K. Mani, said that his organisation would organise a three-day youth meeting from November 24 to 26 at Charalkunnu in Kottayam. He said that the Youth Front(M) had been trying to create a new political platform for youths for the last few years on the basis of a development agenda. He said that the youth meeting was a continuation of this attempt, which sought to transform politics from mere slogan mongering. He said that political parties were making youths and their organisations mere tools in the negative politics they practiced. In the last three years, the Youth Front(M) had organised several programmes on the development agenda. It had conducted a Kasaragod- Thiruvananthapuram march to highlight the front's development agenda. It had conducted several camps and study classes on novel agricultural practices, he said. The youth meeting would evaluate the various programmes that the organisation had undertaken in the last few years. It would also discuss the problems faced by the agriculture sector in the State and the opportunities it held for the State's youths. Mr. Mani said that the youth meeting would give shape to a plan of action to be implemented in the next one year. The Revenue Minister, K.M. Mani, would inaugurate the meeting on November 24. The party MLAs and other senior leaders would be present.
