NEW DELHI,
NOV. 21.
Reliance Industries will invest Rs. 10,757 crores to develop its gas field in the Bay of Bengal, producing 40 million standard cubic metres of natural gas a day from August 2007.
``The total capital cost estimates for development of Dhirubhai-1 and Dhirubhai-3 gas fields are estimated at approximately $2390.4 million [about Rs. 10,757 crores],'' states the company's development plan for the Krishna Godavari gas field.
According to the development plan, Reliance will produce 40 million standard cubic metres a day for 7.5 years from discoveries Dhirubhai 1 and 3 from a total of 34 development wells.
First gas will land in August 2007 at a gas processing facility near Kakinada through a 35-km, 24-inch diameter pipeline.
