NEW DELHI, NOV. 21. The stage is set for a family meeting of the Ambanis here tomorrow on the ownership issue in the Rs. 80,000 crore-Reliance group of industries as Mukesh Ambani returned from the United States. The meeting is being called by Kokila Ben, widow of Dhirubhai Ambani, who has now decided to play an active part in resolving the family matters of India's largest corporate house Reliance Industries Limited. The two sisters of the Ambani brothers Dipti Salgaonkar and Neena Kothari have reached here for the family gathering that would take place within days of Mukesh going public that there were ownership issues in Reliance. Kokila Ben, who has a strong influence on the Ambani siblings, is striving for a settlement between Anil and Mukesh, who control the Reliance group, sources said. Sources close to the family said that Anil had empowered his mother to take all decisions on his behalf relating to ownership issues in the companies and matters pertaining to the management control of the same.
