G.V. Raja Sports School wins overall championship

KOCHI, NOV. 21. G.V. Raja Sports School, Thiruvananthapuram which finished with a tally of 40 points lifted the boys overall team championship title as the 3rd Kerala Mini Games concluded at the Jawaharlal Nehru international stadium here on Sunday.

In the girls' section, Government Vocational Higher Secondary School, Kannur and St. Joseph's Anglo-Indian Girls Higher Secondary School, Kozhikode, both of which finished with 18 points, shared the top honours. The two teams also equally shared the prize-money of Rs.50,000.

In athletics, the final day's competition saw a further eight more new meet records being created and one equalled and G.V. Raja Sports School (40 points), Mar Thomas Higher Secondary School, Kottayam (44), Government Vocational Higher Secondary School, Kannur (59) and Calvary High School, Idukki (29) take the team titles in the boys (under-17 and under-14) and girls (under-17 and under-14) sections respectively.
