Slum-dwellers relocated

BANGALORE, NOV. 21. Occupants of 316 houses illegally constructed at a slum in J.C. Nagar in the city moved into their new houses at MRS Palya on Saturday.

The Karnataka Slum Clearance Board had initiated action in this regard. The slum clearance board had arranged trucks to help them to move into their new houses.

Elaborate security arrangements were made.

The Deputy Commissioner of Police (North), Syed Ulfat Hussein, said no untoward incident was reported.
