Srinivasan dead

BANGALORE, NOV. 21. M.C. Srinivasan (68), vice-president of the Karnataka State Basketball Association (KSBA) died just after midnight here, following a massive heart attack. Srinivasan, who had developed multiple complications of late, leaves behind his wife, two sons and two daughters.

Srinivasan who served the game of basketball for over four decades was the secretary of the KSBA for two years in 87-88 before being elected as treasurer, a post he held for 13 years. For the last two years he has been active as the vice-president.

The funeral this afternoon was well attended by past and present officials and players. The Executive Committee and council members of KSBA, condoled the sudden demise of Srinivasan.

As a mark of respect for the departed soul, the State Association Cup matches scheduled for the day was not held. The same fixtures will be played on the morrow. — Our Sports Reporter
