AHMEDABAD, NOV. 21 . The Common Admission Test (CAT) for the Indian Institute of Management and other management institutions for the next academic year ended peacefully today. The Dean of IIM, Ahmedabad, Indira Parikh, said 34,492 students had taken the examinations in Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Pune and Jaipur under the IIMA umbrella. Around five to nine per cent of the candidates did not turn up, which was "normal.'' Ms. Parikh said the results would be announced by December end and the interviews to finalise admissions would be held in February-March next year. The CAT examinations hit the headlines last year after a question paper was leaked, the first time in 44 years since the exams started. Re-examinations were held in February.
