Venkataraman to take part in protest

NEW DELHI, NOV. 21. The former President, R. Venkataraman, and the spiritual guru, Sudarshan Maharaj, will join the former Prime Minister, Atal Bihari Vajpayee, at the BJP's ongoing sit-in-cum fast near Parliament House tomorrow protesting against the arrest of the Kanchi Sankaracharya, Sri Jayendra Saraswathi. BJP sources said that Mr. Venkataraman, considered to be a devotee of the Acharya, will join the party's protest to be led by its leader in the Rajya Sabha, Jaswant Singh.
