HYDERABAD, NOV. 21. German learning in the city, which took a backseat with the closure of the Max Mueller Bhavan a few years ago, is poised for a fresh lease of life with the reopening of the famed institute albeit in a new avatar. The Association for German Culture-Hyderabad (AGCH) will launch its German Centre at 5.30 p.m. on December 6 in Nampally. Officials of the German Consulate in Chennai as well as New Delhi will be present to officiate the event with the Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany slated to inaugurate the centre. The centre had been organising German classes since January this year as a prelude to the launch. "Having trained 250 students so far, the centre has come of age," the executive director of the Centre, Amita Desai, said here in a press release. The centre will be situated on the second floor of the Hermitage Office Complex on Hill Fort Road in Nampally.
