Partly cloudy sky forecast

NEW DELHI NOV. 21. The weatherman has forecast a partly cloudy sky for the Capital on Monday. With the morning expected to be misty, the minimum temperature is likely to hover around the 13 degree Celsius mark.

The maximum temperature recorded at Safdarjung and Palam on Sunday was 30.5 degrees Celsius and 30.6 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature was 12.8 degree Celsius and 14 degrees Celsius respectively.

The maximum humidity at Safdarjung stood at 88 per cent and the minimum humidity was recorded at 28 per cent. At Palam the maximum humidity stood at 84 per cent and the minimum at 28 per cent.

Homage paid to martyrs

NEW DELHI NOV.21. The All India Yadav Mahasabha organised `Yadav Shaurya Diwas' this past week to pay homage to the 114 Ahir Jawans of the C Company of the 13th Kumaon Regiment who laid down their lives in the Battle of Rezang-la on November 18 in 1962 during the Indo-China war.

The Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Jaipal Reddy, was the chief guest on the occasion. He released a book titled `The Gods of Valour' that recounts in detail the regiment's sacrifice. The book has been edited by the Secretary General of the Mahasabha, Satya Prakash Singh.

Speaking on the occasion, the President of the All India Yadav Mahasabha, D. Nagendhiran, said the Yadav community was not confined to one region of the country but hails from Punjab to Andaman and Rajasthan to Bengal and that they have always tried to strengthen national integration. He recounted that Yadavs were part of the 1857 revolt, the Indo-China and Indo-Pak wars and that out of the five martyrs of the December 13 Parliament attack, four had been Yadavs.

Man found murdered

NEW DELHI NOV. 21. A 62-year-old man was today found murdered with blade marks on his stomach and neck in the Nangloi area of West Delhi.

The police said the body of Ramji Lal, a resident of JJ Camp II, Nangloi, was found at the Sultanpuri level crossing this morning.

The police have registered a case of murdered and were trying to establish the motive behind the crime and the identity of the culprits.
