VISAKHAPATNAM, NOV. 21. A 23-year-old man committed suicide at an apartment in Dwarakanagar on Sunday afternoon. The youth, K. Sivaram, was an engineering graduate and also did his M.S. in the USA. He was in Chennai for the past six months and came here on November 14 and was living in the apartment, owned by his family. His parents are in Bahrain. Sivaram had gone out and the watchman at the apartments saw him return around 2.30 p.m. According to the Fourth Town (Law and Order) Sub-Inspector, Lakshmana Murthy, Sivaram had spoken on the cellphone to his father, K.L. Narasimha Murthy, after returning to the flat. Later, Mr. Murthy had called up his brother, Venkataramana, who works in the NTPC, and asked him to go the flat. When Mr. Venkataramana came to the flat the door was bolted from inside. It was broken with the help of the watchman and Sivaram's body was found hanging from a fan. Police have booked a case of death under suspicious circumstances based on the complaint of Mr. Venkataramana.
