Letters to the Editor
Sir, This refers to the editorial, "Healing the healers" (Nov. 22). A spate of kidnapping and murder of doctors and engineers in the State over payment of rangdari (extortion money) amply describes the state of lawlessness in Bihar. The exodus of professionals and intellectuals from the State, because of insecurity in the light of uncertainties related to employment opportunities and the deteriorating law and order situation, to greener pastures is indeed a sad commentary on the plight of the birthplace of luminaries like Rajendra Prasad and Jaya Prakash Narayan.
