BANGALORE, NOV. 22. "The Bar and Bench are two sides of the same coin and cases can be disposed of expeditiously only if they work harmoniously," the Chief Justice of the Karnataka High Court, Nauvdip Kumar Sodhi, has said. Addressing members of the Advocates' Association, Bangalore, at its High Court unit on Monday, he said no litigant should go back dissatisfied from courts. Courts should be seen as temples of justice, he said. If this was to happen, the Bar and the Bench should work together to solve the problems of the people, he added. He said he had high regard for the Bar as he himself came from it. He thanked the Bar for the warm welcome accorded to him. D.L. Jagadeesh, president of the association, said the Bangalore Bar, which comprised advocates practising in the High Court, Chief Metropolitan Magistrate courts, Mayo Hall courts and Sessions Court, was the biggest in the country with 16,000 members. S.R. Nayak, senior High Court judge, office-bearers of the association and advocates were present. C.R. Gopalaswamy, general secretary of the association, and A.P. Ranganatha, its treasurer, spoke.
