By V.S. Sambandan
COLOMBO, NOV. 22. The Pakistan Prime Minister, Shaukat Aziz, today welcomed India's move to reduce troops in Jammu and Kashmir and expressed the "confidence" that his visit to New Delhi tomorrow to meet the Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh, would "improve the atmosphere" between the two neighbours. Describing his visit to India as part of an "ongoing process" rather than a "transactional relationship," Mr. Aziz, who concluded a two-day official visit to Sri Lanka as the chairman of the South Asian Association for Regional Co-operation (SAARC), said that bilateral ties had "improved considerably" and described them as "very sportsmanlike across the board," with "more people-to-people contact," civil society initiatives and "cricket diplomacy."
