Around the City

Mainly clear sky forecast

The sky will be mainly clear and the minimum temperature will be around 16 degrees Celsius on Tuesday, according to the weather forecast for Bangalore.

On Monday, the city recorded a maximum temperature of 28.6 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 16.1 degrees Celsius. The relative humidity was 49 per cent.

At the airport, the maximum temperature was 27.2 degrees Celsius and the minimum 15.2 degrees Celsius. The relative humidity was 42 per cent.

Matrimonial meet

The Malleswaram Bhavasara Kshatriya Seva Samaj will arrange a matrimonial meet for the Bhavasara community at the Mahalakshmi Temple, Kumara Park West on December 5. More information is available on phone (23441695).

Yoga camp

The Pathanjali Yoga Sangama Trust will organise "Sarala Siddhi Yoga and Chaitanya Kriya camp" at P.N.S. School (Padmanayaga Sangham), Koramangala, from Sunday. People suffering from asthma, high/low blood pressure, piles, epilepsy, heat-related problems, diabetes, migraine, gastric problems, joint pain and obesity can attend the camp. Eye camp

The Janana Sanjeevini Medical Center will conduct a free eye camp on December 5 at its premises in J.P. Nagar. The camp will help those with eye-related problems and those who are at high risk of developing eye diseases. For details, dial 26493040.

Courses

The Continuing Education Cell of the S.J. (Government) Polytechnic on Sheshadri Road plans to conduct short-term courses in computer hardware and networking and CNC programming shortly.

UGC training

The University Grants Commission has initiated a nation-wide programme on "Capacity building for women managers in higher education." The UGC will conduct "Training of trainers" workshops in different regions of the country in the next four or five months. Bangalore University will be the centre for the South Regional Workshop.
