Misty morning forecast

NEW DELHINEW DELHINEW DELHI, NOV. 22.NOV. 22.NOV. The weatherman has forecast a misty morning with mainly clear sky in the Capital on Tuesday. The minimum temperature would hover around the 13 degree Celsius mark.

The maximum temperature recorded at Safdarjung and Palam on Monday was 30.6 degrees Celsius and 32 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature was 13 degree Celsius and 14.9 degrees Celsius respectively.

The maximum humidity at Safdarjung stood at 93 per cent and the minimum humidity was recorded at 34 per cent. At Palam the maximum humidity stood at 83 per cent and the minimum at 32 per cent.

Drug peddlers arrested

NEW DELHINEW DELHINEW DELHI, NOV. 22.NOV. 22.NOV. Three alleged drug peddlers have been arrested by the North-East Delhi police in the past two days. The police recovered 200 gm smack from their possession.

Acting on a tip-off that a person from Madhepura in Bihar, later identified as Ashok Singh, would come to Seelampur to dispose of a drug consignment this Sunday, the police laid a trap and arrested him. They recovered 150 gm smack from his possession.

During interrogation, he revealed that he had been smuggling drugs for the past seven months. This May, his accomplice named Dhanesh was arrested by the Rohini police.

Ashok then roped in one Inder Dev Sharma, who used to buy smack from Bihar. Recently, the duo procured 500 gm smack to sell it in the Capital.

At Ashok's instance, the police arrested Inder Dev and his accomplice, Mohammad Zakir, from whom 50 gm smack was recovered.

Bootleggers nabbed

NEW DELHINEW DELHINEW DELHI, NOV. 22.NOV. 22.NOV. Three alleged bootleggers travelling in Tata Indigo were arrested from Sabzi Mandi by the Special Staff of the North Delhi police on Monday. In all, 108 bottles and 288 quarters of illegal liquor were seized from them.

According to the police, they intercepted the Tata Indigo near Pyramid restaurant and while checking the content of the vehicle recovered the illegal liquor consignment. During interrogation, the occupants identified themselves as Harjit Singh and Jai Chand.
