Hike in old age pension recommended

NEW DELHI, NOV. 23. The Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment, Meira Kumar, today recommended a hike in the old age pension and the number of beneficiaries to a ``realistic proportion''. She would take up the matter with the Rural Development Ministry.

Inaugurating a seminar here, she suggested raising the age limit from 60 to 65 years for getting the pension.
