CHANDIGARH, NOV.23. Priyanka, an eight-year-old student of Class IV hailing from Gujriwas village in Rewari district of Haryana, has been selected for the National Bravery Award to be presented by the Prime Minister on January 26, 2005. According to an official note, Priyanka had saved two children -- six-year-old Mohit and five-year-old Rajni - from drowning, without caring for her own life. The Deputy Commissioner, C.R.Rana, had forwarded her name to the State Child Welfare Council and now the National Child Welfare Council had decided to confer on her the Award, the note added.
