HYDERABAD, NOV. 23. Abhishek Rana of Punjab broke the national record in the 1000 metres time trial in the boys' under-18 category while K. Inder Kumar Singh of Railways picked up his second gold of the meet in the men's section on the second day of the BSA national track cycling championships here on Tuesday. Host Andhra Pradesh had another good day with R. Vijay Bhaskar Reddy bagging gold and B. Roopesh the silver in the 500 metres time trial for under-16 boys while D. Dhanurba clinched gold in the girls' under-12 category. Abhishek Rana, an 18-year-old student of Khalsa College (Patiala), has already bagged several gold medals in national and inter-university meets. He began cycling five years ago and was adjudged best in his age group at the previous nationals held in Ludhiana last year.
