Congress rule not up to mark: CPI(M)
By Our Staff Reporter
NALGONDA,
NOV.23.
The floor leader of the Communist Party of India (Marxist), Nomula Narasimhaiah, has said the Congress rule in the State is not "on expected lines.''
Speaking to reporters at the party district headquarters here on Tuesday, he said the Rajasekhara Reddy Government was not reflecting the people's aspirations.
Mr. Narasimhaiah warned that the CPI(M) would resort to agitations if the Government failed to keep its poll promises. He blamed the Government for the uncertainty over the next round of talks with naxals. "From the beginning we have been suggesting that the Government set an agenda and go point-by-point during the discussions. The arms' issue, which was not a hurdle in the first round of talks, has become a thorny issue now,'' he observed and advised both parties to proceed with commitment.
The CPI(M) leader asked the Government to adopt "a realistic approach" to the land distribution issue.
