KOCHI, NOV. 23. Fish Farmers' Day was observed at the College of Fisheries, Panangad, today. K.B. Mohammed Kutty, president, Ernakulam district panchayat, inaugurated the programme. D.D. Namboodiri, Dean, College of Fisheries, Panangad, presided. C. R. Sathyavathi, Deputy Director, Fisheries, and Susheela Jose, Head of Department, Aquaculture, spoke. A training programme for farmers was also organised. The college has been thrown open for students of local colleges and schools for familiarising themselves with teaching, research and extension activities of the college. An exhibition was also arranged in connection with the Silver Jubilee celebrations of the college.
