Examinations postponed

KOCHI, NOV. 23. The Cochin University of Science and Technology (Cusat), Mahatma Gandhi University and Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit have postponed all the examinations scheduled to be held on Wednesday in view the motor strike. A statement issued by the Cusat said that the examinations of all departments, except Biotechnology Department and International School of Photonics, were put off. The new date has not been announced.

The Sanskrit University spoke-sman said that the new date of its postponed examinations would be announced later. The university postponed its M.Phil. English viva voce to be held on December 1 to December 3. The Mahatma Gandhi University also put off all examinations scheduled for Wednesday. The new dates will be announced later.

Most of the schools in the city will function on Wednesday. The CBSE School Managements Association has taken a decision to conduct classes on strike days.

However, the Nalanda Public School at Thammanam will not function on Wednesday owing to the death of a student Vysakh Mohan.
