Mayoral poll: Order on quota issued

BANGALORE, NOV. 23. The elections to the posts of Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Bangalore and members of the eight standing committees of the Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BMP) Council will be held at noon on Monday. The outgoing Mayor, P.R. Ramesh, will preside over the election meeting. The State Government has issued a notification reserving the post of Mayor for a council member from a Scheduled Caste and that of Deputy Mayor for a woman member from Backward Classes (A).
