BANGALORE, NOV. 23. A 32-year-old woman who was injured in an accident at an amusement at Yelahanka on Sunday was operated upon at a private hospital today. According to the police, Varsha, wife of Arihant, a software engineer, suffered multiple injuries in the accident at Sammy's Dreamland. She was operated upon at Mallya Hospital. Mr. Arihant and his daughter, Mahima (5), were also injured in the accident. The police said four of the 11 people who were injured in the accident were in the intensive care unit at Mallya Hospital. A person who suffered a head injury was admitted to the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences. Statements of those injured were being recorded. The 11 people suffered injuries when they fell from a height of 30 feet after a part of a Ferris wheel-like contraption they were riding collapsed. Initial investigations reportedly revealed that a snapped cable led to the collapse. The Chikkajala police have registered a case against Sammy's Dreamland.
