Around the City

Mainly clear sky forecast

The sky will be mainly clear on Wednesday, according to the forecast for Bangalore. Early morning fog or mist is likely, and the minimum temperature will be around 16 degrees Celsius.

On Tuesday, the maximum temperature in the city was 28 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature was 17.1 degrees Celsius. The relative humidity was 58 per cent.

At the airport, the maximum temperature was 27.6 degrees Celsius and the minimum 16.4 degrees Celsius. The relative humidity was 58 per cent.

Scholarship test

Scholar's League, a venture by graduates of Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs), will organise a free scholarship test based on the CAT (Common Admission Test) pattern and an interactive seminar by IIM alumni for those appearing for CAT 2005. The test will be held at AMC College, behind Jayanagar 4th Block Police Station, and Centre for Management Studies, Jain College, next to Atria Hotel, Palace Road, on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. More information is available on phone (51120797 /51120798).

Healing camp

Jain Shwetambar Terapanth Mahila Mandal, Gandhinagar, will hold free healing sessions at its premises every Saturday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Acupressure and Reiki treatments will also be provided. For details, dial (23521100/22912735).

Consultation

Poornayu Ayurveda will conduct a special consultation camp for those with diabetic and vascular-related chronic wounds, ulcer, gangrene and wounds from insect and animal bites, at its premises on Dr. Rajkumar Road on Sunday. CET coaching

Jnana Gangotri will conduct free CET (Common Entrance Test) classes for students who have secured 90 per cent marks and above in SSLC examination, and 90 per cent marks and above in the first pre-university examination. Details are available on phone (26559410).
