HYDERABAD, NOV. 23. As part of the ongoing 535th birthday celebrations of Sri Guru Nanak Dev, the founder of Sikh religion, the Sikh community will take out a colourful `Nagar Keertan' from Gurudwara Guru Singh Sabha, Ashok Bazar, at 4 p.m on Wednesday. The religious procession will pass through Afzalgunj, Siddiamber Bazar, Moazamjahi Market, Jambagh and other places and return to the Gurudwara in the evening. The highlight of the procession will be the display of martial arts and `Gatka' (sword fighting skills) by Ranjeet Akhada of Patiala followed by `Shabad Keertans' by the Keerthani Jathas. On November 26, a `Vishal Deewan' (mass congregation) will be held at Exhibition Grounds, M.J. Road between 10.30 a.m. and 3.30 p.m. The event will be marked by the recitations of `Gurubani Keertans' (Holy hymns), according to a press release.
