Sensex blues

Sir, — It is difficult to understand the vagaries of modern day stock markets. A reported standoff between two brothers ruling an industrial empire makes the Sensex crash in a day. A subsequent clarification that it was all based on a "remark torn out of context" makes the market bounce back. Is this economic progress as a result of liberalisation?
