MYSORE, NOV. 24. Women from the Tibetan settlements at Bylakuppe and Hunsur near here will take out a procession here on Thursday to mark the international day for elimination of violence against women. Led by the presidents of the units, members of the Regional Tibetan Women's Association of Bylakuppe and Hunsur, the women will congregate at Town Hall at 10 a.m. before taking out the procession through KR Circle, D. Devaraj Urs Road, Narayan Shastri Road, Irwin Road and Ashoka Road before returning to Town Hall. The Regional Tibetan Women's Associations of Bylakuppe and Hunsur will send a memorandum to Mary Robinson, United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, UNO, expressing their concern over the discrimination against, gender-based torture and denial of privileges to women in Tibet.
