CHAMARAJANAGAR, NOV. 24. Subscribers today laid a siege to the Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited office here seeking services to dial up mobile phones from coin phone boxes. The protestors gheraoed the BSNL engineers and employees saying that a telecom division be created for Chamarajanagar district. They said the BSNL had introduced the facility in Mysore. But it had not been extended to Chamarajanagar, which was one of the telecom divisions of BSNL, Mysore. The protestors were withdraw their demonstration after the Chief General Manager of Mysore Telecom promised them that the facility would be provided in Chamarajanagar soon.
