KOZHIKODE, NOV. 24. The Congress leader V.M. Sudheeran will inaugurate a convention on protection of media freedom at 4 p.m. at the Press Club Hall here on November 26. The convention is being organised by the Kerala Union of Working Journalists (KUWJ) as part of its State-wide campaign against attacks on media in the wake of recent attacks on mediapersons at Karipur, Kozhikode and Kochi. Conventions titled `Media and power centres' will be held in all districts. The Kozhikode convention, which will be the State-wide inauguration of a series of conventions planned, will be presided over by the KUWJ president, Bobby Abraham.
