DHARMAPURI, NOV. 24. Tension prevailed at Kalipettai village in Pappireddipatti taluk following the suicide of a 10th class student residing at the Kalipettai Government Most Backward Hostel here today. According to the police, Prabhakaran (15), son of Mohan of Gobichettipalayam, committed suicide when he was reprimanded by teachers for coming late to the class the previous day. Students and villagers blocked traffic on Salem-Tirupathur Road seeking an inquiry.
