Shipping Corporation pays dividend
NEW DELHI: Shipping Corporation of India (SCI) on Wednesday paid an interim dividend of 40 per cent, amounting to Rs. 90.47 crores, for 2004-05 to the Government. SCI has posted the highest ever cumulative profit of Rs. 529 crores for the first half of this fiscal and the dividend reflected the earnings of the Government on the 80.12 per cent stake in SCI, an official release said here. The dividend cheque was handed over to the Minister of Shipping, Road Transport and Highways, T. R. Baalu by the SCI Managing Director, P. K. Shrivastava.
