Alternative to river sand
KOCHI: The Thiruvalla-based POABS group has started producing manufactured sand near its factory at Chulli, near Angamaly, said Joseph Jacob, Director. The plant has a capacity of 1,500 tonnes a day and sand is produced from select hard granites. It has a technical collaboration with the Government College of Engineering, Thiruvananthapuram, says a release.
