JH Tarapore-TTC tournament from November 26

CHENNAI, NOV. 24. The Tennis Training Centre will conduct the 17th edition of the JH Tarapore State-ranking and AITA tennis tournament at its courts at the D.G. Vaishnav College from November 26 to December 5.

The AITA (Talent Series) events are boys' and girls' under-14 and 18 singles as well as boys' and girls' under-18 doubles. The State-ranking events include men's singles and doubles, ladies singles and boys' and girls' under-12 singles. The tournament is being sponsored by Hotel Aadithya.

Vinod Sridhar and defending champion V.M. Ranjeet have confirmed their participation in the men's singles. The men's winner will take home Rs. 10,000 while the women's champion will receive Rs. 2,000.

Speaking to newspersons here on Tuesday, T. Parthasarathy, Tournament Director, thanked the sports-loving parents, corporates and AITA for their co-operation and support. S. Gnanasekaran, General Manager, Hotel Aadithya, said the Hotel Aadithya Rolling Trophy would be given to the most well-mannered player along with a cash prize of Rs. 2,000.
