BANGALORE, NOV. 24. The Chief Minister, N. Dharam Singh, today renewed his appeal to Kannada film industry representatives to come for discussions to resolve the issue of the moratorium on non-Kannada films. This follows an agitation that film actor Rajkumar is leading from Thursday. Mr. Dharam Singh, who held talks with film producer Rajendra Singh Babu and the industry spokesperson, `Mukhyamantri' Chandru, MLC, today, told presspersons that he told them that the Government was committed to promoting Kannada and Kannada films. Mr. Rajkumar was the pride of Karnataka and the Government was aware of that. Asked what measures were taken in view of the agitation, Mr. Dharam Singh said any agitation was a matter of concern and the Government would take appropriate steps to maintain law and order. On the imbroglio itself, he said that as the matter was before the court, the Government's hands were tied. The exhibitors had been invited for talks, but they did not turn up .
