Sania bows out
HYDERABAD,
NOV. 24.
Sania Mirza's campaign in the $75,000 ITF women's tennis tournament in France ended on Wednesday when she lost to Mirvana Jugic Salkic 5-7, 6-3, 1-6 in the first round of the main draw, according to information received here.
After her performance in the above event, Sania will pick 8.5 points on the WTA Tour to earn a career-best world ranking of No. 190. She will be leaving for the United States to take part in the $50,000 Palm Beach tournament where she has been given a direct entry into the main draw.
