KANCHEEPURAM, NOV. 24. Two persons were hacked to death and one person injured in a gang attack at two places at Vandalur near Chennai yesterday. Police said Raja (30) of Vandalur Colony was seriously injured when he tried to save his friend Velmurugan (29) from an assault by a car-borne gang near the Vandalur level-crossing around 5 p.m. The gang then went to Mannivakkam colony and hacked Jayaseelan (30) to death. Raja was taken to the government hospital, Chromepet, and later referred to the Government General Hospital, Chennai, where he died around 9 p.m. Velmurugan has been admitted to the Chengalpattu Medical College Hospital.
