Chamber diamond jubilee celebrations on November 27

CHENNAI,
NOV. 24
. The Tamil Chamber of Commerce will celebrate its diamond jubilee at a function scheduled for November 27 here. The Union Ministers of State, R. Velu and S.S. Palanimanickam, will participate, and a souvenir will be brought out.
The president, S. Santhanam, said the chamber had been highlighting problems of trade and industry since it's launch in 1944. It instituted awards for weavers, designers and university toppers. The vice-president, Nalli Kuppuswami Chetti, and the secretary, C.A.Vasudevan, said the chamber had been serving the interests of all sections of traders.
