BANGALORE, NOV. 24. Three persons, including a businessman and a policeman, were killed in three accidents in the city on Tuesday and Wednesday. Mehaboob Divan (22), a businessman, was killed on the spot when a KSRTC bus hit the scooter he was riding in Chamarajapet on Mysore Road on Wednesday morning. Afzal Pasha (25), who was riding pillion, has been admitted to hospital with multiple injuries. The Central Traffic police have arrested the bus driver. Manjunath (33), an escort to the Chief Minister, N. Dharam Singh, was injured after he fell from his motorcycle on Race Course Road on Tuesday night. The High Grounds police said the victim was on his way to attend night duty. Manjunath died of head injuries at the National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences. Srinivas (25) of Krishnagiri taluk in Tamil Nadu, who was riding a motorcycle, was killed after he was hit by a lorry on Tuesday night. The driver of the lorry was reported to be absconding, the Hebbagodi police said.
Suicide
A 35-year-old woman and her 12-year-old daughter reportedly jumped into a lake in Pillana Katte and drowned on Tuesday night, the Kamakshipalya police said. The two bodies were found on Wednesday. The bodies have been kept in Victoria Hospital, the police said.
