Power disruption

KOCHI, NOV. 24. Power supply to areas between Thammanam and Ponnurunni railway gate will be disrupted between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Thursday owing to repair works of a damaged electric post, said KSEB officials.

Pilgrim centre opened

Akhila Bharatha Ayyappa Seva Sangham has opened a Pilgrim Centre at the South Railway Station. It was inaugurated by the Ombudsman for Civic Bodies K.P. Radhakrishnan Menon.

Protest rally planned

A dharna will be staged by Left Front-led women at the Ernakulam Boat Jetty premises on Friday demanding the ouster of the Industries Minister, P.K. Kunhalikutty.

Poet Balachandran Chullikkad will inaugurate the sit-in protest at 10 a.m. Sebastian Paul, MP, will also participate in the protest rally to begin from the High Court Junction.

Computer fair

Computer Mega Show 2004 will be held at the Imperial Trade Centre, M.G. Road from November 26. The three-day exhibition will bring together makers of computer hardware and software.

One killed

Saju V.V., 35, was killed when he was hit by a tourist bus at Athani this afternoon. He succumbed to injuries at the Medical Trust Hospital where he was admitted after the accident.
