Letters to the Editor
Sir, Enough has been said about Sri Jayendra Saraswathi's arrest. The media should refrain from blowing the issue out of proportion and end speculation.
R. Subramanian,
Sir, There has been too much coverage in the media of the case. This is the time for all of us to remember the saying: "Judge ye not let ye be judged." Justice has been rightly symbolised by a blindfolded woman with scales in her hand. She reminds us that the verdict can swing either way. When no one knows what the outcome is going to be, the case is best left to run its course to the logical end.
V. Ramaswami,
Sir, This refers to the highly commendable observations of the Madras High Court on a writ petition by the Thanthai Periyar Dravidar Kazhagam seeking direction to hold a meeting. For the law to take its course, it is necessary to exercise restraint with regard to matters arising out of the Seer's arrest.
R. Rajagopalan,
