Cuddalore
By Our Special Correspondent
CUDDALORE, NOV. 25. The Cuddalore MLA, E. Pugazhendi, has threatened to launch a protest if a new bridge was not constructed in place of the damaged bridge at Thevanampattinam, a coastal village here. He said residents had been facing untold hardship following the damage to the bridge. Despite many representations, the Government had not taken any action. He had raised the issue in the Assembly also. Mr. Pugazhendi said if the Government did not take steps to construct the bridge, he would mobilise people at Thevanampattinam to launch a protest.
