By Our Staff Reporter

VELLORE, NOV. 25. The Kanchi Sankaracharya, Sri Jayendra Saraswathi, arrested and lodged in the central prison here in connection with the Sankararaman murder case has instructed his counsel, K.S. Dinakaran and I. Subramaniam, not to approach the Supreme Court for any remedy .

The Acharya conveyed the instructions through the Sankara Mutt advocate, V. Krishnaswamy, who met him in the prison here today. Mr. Krishnaswamy said the Acharya had instructed counsel not to move the Supreme Court even in the form of a public interest litigation petition.

Asked whether the Acharya would move bail in the case connected to the assault of S. Radhakrishnan, a former Mutt associate, his wife and attendant, Mr. Krishnaswamy said the Acharya's counsel, Mr. Dinakaran and Mr. Subramaniam, were likely to take a decision. They could move bail either in the District and Sessions Court at Chengalpattu or in the Madras High Court on Friday.
