By Our Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD, NOV. 25. The Joint Action Committee representing 16 teachers' associations and language pundits' association meet the School Education Minister, N. Rajyalakshmi, to discuss their demands for framing common service rules and other benefits.

Ms. Rajyalakshmi assured the JAC members that the Government would issue orders for demands that did not have any financial implications. About others, a decision could be taken only after full consideration of financial implications.

The JAC demanded appointment of a good lawyer to represent the Government's case in the Supreme Court on the issue of framing common service rules. The Government also requested the Advocate General to try and vacate the High Court stay order regarding payment procedure of aided teachers.
